Meet Professor Douglas

“I love to see student work and to guide students towards realizing their self-expression on screen.”

Professor Douglas earned his B.A. in Film Studies and Religious Studies at the University of Pittsburgh, and his M.F.A. in Media Production at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He teaches courses in documentary film, video production, audio production, photography, and animation.

Professor Douglas is an active video maker who covers current events. Ron’s video work has been screened internationally at academic conferences, art venues, festivals, and television. His documentary Unseen Tears: The Native American Boarding School Experience in Western New York is widely used in classrooms and educational venues across the United States and Canada.
